This was our first time at a bed & breakfast and we very much enjoyed our stay! The house is beautiful and everything was clean and cozy. The breakfast that Bev made was delicious and prepared with love! You could not ask for an easier walk downtown. We will definitely be staying here next time we visit Pella!

Beautiful home with clean, quiet rooms. Walking distance to the quaint downtown area of Pella. The hosts were extremely welcoming and breakfast was delicious! This was our first stay in a "Bed and Breakfast". We definitely recommend a stay at The Dwelling Place!

The Dwelling Place was our stop for Pella Tulip Festival. It is located one block from the square. With 3 relatives we opted for the basement “Under His Wings”. We also had a shared sitting room/kitchen/bathroom. Breakfast, as noted by others, was fantastic. All was clean, convenient and walkable. I will return again. Thanks Bev & Doug.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at the Dwelling Place, with a delicious homemade breakfast. It is in a great location to walk to the sweetest little downtown, and enjoy small shops and history of Pella, Iowa. Doug and Beverly will make you feel right at home and you will feel like you have known them for years! May the Lord. Continue to bless you and every guest for many years.

Thank you Doug and Beverly for a wonderful 25th anniversary weekend! The food was fabulous and your home is so peaceful and inviting. I loved sitting outside in the cool of the mornings and evenings and just relaxing. Anyone wanting a peaceful stay in walking distance to town, this is it. We had wonderful conversations with the owners and it's a great place to feel the love of the Lord!!

Bev and Doug make their home your home! What a wonderful experience we had staying there. The food was delicious and accommodations were comfortable and cozy. They are one block from town in a great location…we are already planning g a trip back, maybe for the Christmas home tours!

Having never stayed in a B&B before, I really didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! Doug & Beverly are the owners and were very kind, generous and accommodating. The home is historic, but updated with clean and modern features. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Their home is only a few steps away from the downtown square. So park your car and enjoy the easy walks to anywhere. We are definitely coming back!

This was a wonderful weekend experience. We stayed in The Well, which was a sweet hideaway downstairs. The room was clean and so peaceful. The food was amazing and a treat because each morning the table was beautifully set and with a yummy breakfast. The location was perfect because you could easily walk to the square and enjoy the town. We have lots of friends who enjoy day trips to Pella, but definitely sharing about the Dwelling Place so they can have a whole new beautiful experience.

This place surpassed my expectations. It was a beautiful home and the hosts were amazing. It felt like being home with family from the moment we arrived. It was evident everywhere you looked that Christ and His word are the foundation of this home and Doug and Bev exemplify the spiritual discipline of hospitality to the fullest. The breakfast's were great, the conversation was great, the hospitality was above and beyond (they even cleaned off our car after the snow!) It was a such a relaxing peaceful stay and we loved our room (the Kings Chambers). Great location, so close to downtown we wouldn't have had to drive anywhere if we didn't want to do a little more exploring of the surrounding areas while we were there. after staying here, I cannot imagine coming back and staying anywhere else. Thank you for opening your home to us and allowing us to spend a little time with you this past weekend as we enjoyed the Christmas festivities and shopping opportunites Pella had to offer. I am hopeful we will be able to return again.
